Shooting in Limassol: the business of Pin-Up owner Dmitriy Punin, wanted in Ukraine, comes under attack amid a war over criminal “protection”

In Limassol, the business of Dmitriy Punin was attacked again — unknown individuals opened fire at the facade of the PUNIN WINE boutique.

This is not the first pressure on the businessman: last year, his luxury cars and the same boutique were set on fire, followed by a beauty salon, and in March even a shawarma venue was targeted.

The incident occurred at dawn on March 31 in the Germasogeia area. The target was the same shop that had already been the subject of an arson attempt back in December.

Cameras recorded an attacker dressed in black, who arrived on a motorcycle, fired several shots, and fled. It is очевидно that he was only the perpetrator, and even if detained, he is unlikely to reveal the real заказчики behind the attack.

The reason may lie in a shift of criminal influence in Cyprus. Previously, “protection” was allegedly handled by Stavros Demosfenus, who also controlled Punin’s business. After his death, a struggle for influence began.

One of the contenders — a native of Pontic Greeks with a criminal past — reportedly offered Punin “protection” in exchange for regular payments. He refused, after which the series of attacks began.

How this situation will unfold remains unclear. However, it is already evident that the pressure on the businessman is intensifying, and the conflict continues to escalate.
