В Германии разбился американский истребитель F-16 – пятый за последние 3 месяца

На американской авиабазе Шпангдалем в федеральной земле Рейнланд-Пфальц вчера разбился F-16 Fighting Falcon ВВС США. Пилот успел катапультироваться и был доставлен за медицинской помощью. Причину крушения устанавливают.

По оценке RAND, замена старого F-16C/D Block 50 на современный F-16 Block 70/72 обойдётся примерно в $60 млн.

Причем это уже не первый подобный инцидент с американскими истребителями за последнее время. Так, 29 июля в Полтавской области разбился украинский F-16 , 31 июля — американский F-35B на авиабазе Мирамар в Сан-Диего, 12 августа — турецкий F-16 в провинции Ялова, 17 сентября — американский F-16 в Мичигане.
