📑16 in September my colleagues and I registered No.16079 — a competition for the head of the tax service, appointment for 5 years, audits after one year and after three, guaranteed salaries and a one-time attestation.

And then an alternative No.16079-1 appeared. From Buzhansky and another 82 deputies (Servants + OPZZh).

I look at the text. It matches by 99% — down to the commas with ours.

Then I get the idea. Because all the difference is in two paragraphs about the selection committee.

▪️In our version: 3 from international partners (from a list agreed by the MFA) + 3 from the Ministry of Finance.

▪️ In the Servants’ and OPZZh’s alternative: the same 3 + 3, plus a seventh — a Hero of Ukraine who is or was a servicemember and received the title during the period of resisting the aggression. Chosen by lottery according to the order approved by the Cabinet.

Creative, I won’t argue. And then the decision-making system — “a majority of the total composition.” So 4 out of 7, with no requirement regarding votes of the international members.

So three representatives from the Ministry of Finance plus the seventh member determined by the government lottery procedure — and here’s the new head )

💁‍♂️ Something tells me this is a new idea from the Office of the President that they will later promote in the DBR, FinMon and other laws) It’s just that our Tax draft law happened to be first)

P.S. The only thing I don’t understand — if the Servants want to appoint the tax chief themselves... why again for the 8-th year can’t they manage to do it))) For a week now there hasn’t even been an acting head of the Tax Service))))
