⚡ 50 children versus 11 professional footballers: a unique football match was played in Ternopil
⭕️The seventh match of the project by the Betking Foundation and its founder Pavlo Zhurilo brought together professionals from FC Niva Ternopil and 50 children on the same field: among the participants were displaced children from frontline regions and children of servicemembers whose parents are defending Ukraine.
⭕️“The war has taken many familiar things away from Ukrainian children, but it has not taken away their right to dream. That is why it is important for us to create moments when a child goes out onto the same field with professional footballers and sees: a big dream is not somewhere far away, it can be much closer than it seems. For some, this match will remain a vivid memory, and for others it will become another incentive to train, believe in their own abilities, and not give up on their dream,” said Betking Foundation founder Pavlo Zhurilo.
⭕️Over two years the project has brought together more than 330 children from different cities of Ukraine and has received international recognition, winning gold and silver at the Davos Communications Awards 2026.
