Swiss ultramarathoner and former firefighter Frédéric Splendore in September 2026 drew significant attention from the international community and Ukrainian media with his large-scale charity run in support of Ukraine. Over 60 days he covered more than 4200 kilometers, crossing the borders of 13 countries to remind Europeans: the war continues.

In an interview with OBOZ.UA, Frédéric Splendore told what pushed him to take on such a difficult challenge, which moments of the journey proved the hardest, and whether he ever felt like giving it all up.
