President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that without access to the expanded capabilities of Starshield, it is more difficult for Ukraine to detect in advance the launch sites of Russian ballistic missiles. This concerns the protection of the civilian population, not mass strikes on Russian territory.
The head of state said this in an interview with the American television channel PBS News. He raised this issue with U.S. President Donald Trump three or four times and had separate meetings with him devoted to this topic.
