Threads frenzy: why Gorokhovskyi's post is gathering tens of thousands of comments

Threads is heating up again. This time it all started with a post by co-founder Oleg Gorokhovskyi, who decided to celebrate reaching 400 thousand followers with a traditional giveaway.

It seemed like nothing new, but within a few hours the post drew tens of thousands of comments, and users began mass-collecting for likes.

Gorokhovskyi announced that he would give away four iPhone 17e to his followers. To participate, you only need to leave a comment under the post, but there is a catch: only comments that accumulate at least 150 likes will make the final cut.

The requirement to reach at least 150 likes instantly changed the vibe under the post. Instead of ordinary comments, users began joking, writing funny stories, posting memes, and basically begging others to like them.
