Bribes and Exit for 10 Thousand Dollars: Former SEB Detective Oleh Yashchuk Appears in Case of “Fuel Tanker Drivers”

The Solomianskyi District Court of Kyiv granted the applicants’ complaint and ordered law enforcement to enter information into the Unified Register of Pre-Trial Investigations (URPI) and initiate an investigation into a possible scheme of fictitious employment of those liable for military conscription through LLC TranscomGroup.

According to details provided in the complaint, men could have been registered as drivers and logisticians without actually performing work. Instead, they allegedly were provided with protection against mobilization and the possibility to travel abroad.

The cost of such “employment,” according to sources, could have been $10 thousand hryvnias, after which clients supposedly had to pay monthly fees for keeping the respective status.

Among the possible participants of the scheme, the applicants name former BEE investigator Oleg Yashchuk. In his declaration for 2025 year he indicated a salary of over 120 thousand hryvnias from LLC TranscomGroup. At the same time, according to the applicants, he did not have the necessary specialized experience or clearances for transporting dangerous goods.

Separately in the complaint, there are references to possible ties of Yashchuk with fraudulent call centers, cryptocurrency operations, and withdrawal of funds through a network of fictitious companies.

All these circumstances now need to be checked by law enforcement. At the same time, the mere existence of a criminal case does not prove the veracity of the claims.

If the facts presented in the complaint are confirmed, this would concern a possible scheme in which fictitious employment was used to obtain protection against mobilization and permission to travel abroad for men during a state of war.
