Deputy Head of Kyiv Regional State Administration, Subject of NACP Inquiry, Resigns

After lawyers from bihus.info contacted, the National Agency on Corruption Prevention (NACP) initiated a full review of Oleg Mishchenko’s declaration, who is the deputy head of Kyiv Oblast State Administration. At the same time, the official submitted a resignation letter “on his own accord.”

The decision to conduct a full verification of Oleg Mishchenko’s declaration was made in response to the bihus.info lawyers’ report.

As activists from the NGO “TOM 14” found out, Mishchenko’s declaration for the 2016-th year in the section “Corporate Rights” lists no companies.

Meanwhile, according to the Unified State Register of Legal Entities, Individual Entrepreneurs and Public Formations, Oleg Mishenko owns a stake in the charter capital of LLC “V.T.O.R.A.” (amounting to 30 thousand UAH) and in the charter capital of LLC “INVESTMENT-INDUSTRIAL COMPANY” (amounting to 14 thousand UAH).

On suspicion of a criminal offense, the bihus.info lawyers turned to NACP.

24 in July, after the decision to conduct the review, the official submitted his resignation.

However, even in the declaration “before the dismissal,” there was no information about corporate rights.

Oleg Mishchenko held the position of deputy head of the Kyiv Regional State Administration for housing and communal services and construction since 20 December 2016 year.

As the portal “My Kyiv region” writes, in the sphere Mishchenko was responsible for—capital construction and architecture—significant violations were recorded. According to uncorroborated data, the deputy of Horhan (Gorgan) received 20% of “kickbacks” for tenders on major construction and repairs.
