The family of the deputy head of the Main Investigations Department of the National Police, Dmytro But, bought two apartments in Novopecherski Lypky — one of Kyiv’s most elite complexes. This is reported by Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty.

"The wife of an influential investigator bought two apartments with a total area of 200 square meters, as well as two garages. Also in the family’s ownership are two Volkswagen Touareg cars," the report says.

Last year the investigator’s wife donated apartments to her mother; however, the property remained in But’s ownership.

In December 2014 year the investigator became the owner of a manor house of 300 square meters in Horenychi village near Kyiv, after which he gifted the house to his father.

According to the declarations, in 2013 year the combined income of But and his wife amounted to nearly 244 thousand UAH, and in 2014 year they received more than 2,3 million UAH.

"Almost the entire amount came from selling or renting out property. The declared family wealth would hardly be enough to acquire and maintain all this valuable property," the journalists summarized.
