The Ministry of Defense Armed Yatsenyuk, Several Ministers, MPs, and the NSDC Secretary

The Ministry of Defense has armed Yatsenyuk, several ministers, members of parliament, and the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council.

Head of the Ministry of Defense Stepan Poltorak awarded the head of government Arseniy Yatsenyuk, several ministers, the Secretary of the NSDC, and several members of parliament with weapons.

This is evidenced by excerpts from the Army’s order, which journalist Khrystyna Malazonia published on her Facebook – according to Ukrayinska Pravda.

According to the documents, Yatsenyuk was awarded a firearm in May 2015 for “outstanding contributions to ensuring the country’s defense capability, strengthening national security, exemplary performance of official duties, and demonstrated high professionalism, honor, and valor.”

The head of the government was presented with a Thompson submachine gun of the 1928 model and 203 rounds. As is known, this was the favorite weapon of American gangsters at the beginning of the last century, which cost 11 200 hryvnias.

The head of the Ministry of Justice, Pavlo Petrenko, and the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Arsen Avakov, also received awarded weapons – Colt M1911s, and 84 and 140 rounds respectively.

Also awarded were the president’s aide Oleksiy Horashchenkov (7.63 mm Mauser C-96 and 73 rounds), the head of the State Treasury Service Tetiana Sliuz (5,45 mm pistol PSM and 8 rounds), NSDC Secretary Oleksandr Turchynov (7,63 mm Mauser C— 96 and 105 rounds).

In addition, Poltorak awarded himself a Glock weapon 19 gen, accompanied by 103 rounds.

The MPs also received weapons: Ihor Konehenko (9 mm Glock and 15 rounds), Ihor Kotvytsky (11.43 mm Colt M1911 pistol and 7 rounds), Serhiy Kunitsyn (7,62 mm TT pistol and 8 rounds), Ivan Myrnyy (9 mm APS automatic pistol and 20 rounds).
