Former Mezhyhirya owner Humeniuk lent 732 millions to Donbasenergo through structures using the ‘Stavytskyi cooperative’ email

Former Party of Regions MP and former owner of TOV Tantalit Ihor Humeniuk lent 732 million at 3.5% per year to acquire 60,8% of Donbasenergo’s shares from a structure that used the phones and e-mail of the scandalously notorious firm Golden Derrick. Andrii Samofalov writes about this in Hubs.

To buy the Donbasenergo stake, Energoinvest Holding took a loan from the closed-end fund Ukrainian Project Investments. The phone number for that structure exactly matches the contact number of another fund, Rosukrinvest. Another Rosukrinvest phone matches the Kyiv number of the company Golden Derrick — a favorite in Ministry of Fuel and Energy competitions for developing oil and gas fields and a recent contractor for Chornomornaftohaz. Golden Derrick also consistently won major state tenders in the oil and gas sector.

In addition, at first Energoinvest Holding used the e-mail address [email protected]. The address was later changed.

The company Golden Derrick is linked to the business circles of ministers Prysyazhnyuk, Stavytskyi, and MP Ivanushchenko.

Sergii Dyadechko, chairman of the supervisory board of Ukrainian Project Investments, told journalists that the fund has nothing to do with Golden Derrick.

“Most likely, when preparing the documents the management of Energoinvest Holding used lawyers who serviced Golden Derrick, and they entered their email,” he said.

At the same time, he said he does not know all the co-owners of Ukrainian Project Investments, although he himself is a co-owner and the chairman of the supervisory board.

“The owner of a large block of shares is me, my wife, and a commercial structure controlled by Ihor Humeniuk. I do not have precise information about the other shareholders of the fund,” he reported.

Recall that in August 2013 the company Energoinvest Holding purchased 60,8% of Donbasenergo’s shares from the state for 718,92 million hryvnias. At the same time it became known that the firm Tantalit was registered to Humeniuk; Tantalit is the nominal owner of the land under Viktor Yanukovych’s Mezhyhirya residence. In the fall of 2013 the new owner of Tantalit declared himself to be Party of Regions MP Serhii Kliuyev, brother of presidential administration head Andrii Kliuyev.
