This is reported in an investigation by the program “Nashi Hroshi.” Journalists observed the restaurant for more than a week. “MPs, fixers, businessmen, and former regional party members come to the restaurant. Something is being celebrated at the restaurant. MP Anton Yatsenko comes out of the restaurant completely out of focus, swaying in different directions (he will later say he wasn’t there). Like the rest of the visitors. The restaurant is operating. Not for everyone. For VIPs. For ‘their own.’ For ‘their own’ to such an extent that about ten people enter it within an hour. And this is at a time when the entire reasonable restaurant business is closed for quarantine. Recall that the quarantine related to the coronavirus pandemic has been in effect in Ukraine since 12 March. It was initially expected to last until 3 April, but later the government extended it until 24 April. The strictest quarantine measures in Ukraine began on 6 April. At that time the government banned going outside without masks and walking in parks, and for violating these bans it introduced fines starting from 17 thousand hryvnias. Since 17 March, the operation of dining establishments in Ukraine has been restricted due to quarantine. Some Kyiv establishments shut down completely, while others continued operating but without guests. Those establishments reoriented to takeout and delivery. Journalists note that Tyshchenko’s restaurant receives “special” guests: Members of Parliament, businessmen, “Kvartal” members, and partners of oligarch Ihor Kolomoisky. In particular, MP Anton Yatsenko was seen in the restaurant, Kolomoisky’s partner and assistant to a Servants of the People MP Pavlo Kuftyriov, MP and former Kvartal 95 scriptwriter Oleksandr Kabanov, Metinvest manager Vitaliy Kysil, First Deputy Head of the President’s Office and former Kvartal 95 producer Serhiy Trofimov, MP Ihor Nehulevskyi. The film crew also recorded about 10 more people whom they could not identify.

Mykola Tyshchenko is known for his criminal past (in certain circles he is nicknamed Kolia Obolonsky) and his talent for repeatedly getting into various media scandals that harm both him and the image of the party and the president he represents.
