Kuhta and Nikolaychuk resigned from the Ministry of Economic Development

The Cabinet of Ministers dismissed Pavlo Kuhta from the position of first deputy minister of economy, trade and agriculture by his own will and Serhiy Nikolaychuk from the position of deputy head of the Ministry of Economic Development.

This is stated in the relevant government orders No. 408 and No. 409 dated 13 April. “To dismiss Pavlo Andriyevich Kuhta from the position of first deputy minister of development of economy, trade and agriculture in accordance with paragraph four of part two of article 9 of the Law “On Central Executive Bodies.” To dismiss Serhiy Anatoliyovych Nikolaychuk from the position of deputy minister of development of economy, trade and agriculture of Ukraine...,” the documents say. Kuhta himself has already commented on his dismissal. “Yesterday the Cabinet of Ministers approved my resignation from the post of first deputy minister of economy. It was submitted immediately after the appointment of the new minister,” he said on Facebook. Kuhta also noted that when he was acting minister, he redistributed all his directions and departments among the deputies. “After the appointment of the new minister, I did not directly oversee any of the ministry’s lines of work — I was in quarantine, like most Ukrainians,” he wrote. Kuhta wished the new minister of economy, Ihor Petrazhko, and the entire ministerial team success in addressing the economic crisis after the anti-coronavirus quarantine.

Since September 2019 of this year Pavlo Kuhta was the first deputy, and the former director of the Monetary Policy and Economic Analysis Department of the National Bank Serhiy Nikolaychuk was the deputy minister of economic development to Timofiy Milovanov, who was dismissed along with the government of Oleksiy Honcharuk.
