Former head of Odesa customs Marushevska: They are trying to search my apartment

Former head of Odesa customs Yuliya Marushevska stated that SBU and Prosecutor General's Office employees are trying to carry out searches in her apartment.

As Marushevska said on Facebook, she herself is currently on a business trip.

She added that law enforcement officers are attempting to conduct searches in connection with a criminal proceeding unknown to her.

Also, according to Marushevska, searches are simultaneously being conducted at Roman Bakhovskyi's, who headed the ‘Open Customs Space’ customs post of Odesa customs.

"I perceive this as pressure from the current authorities and a response to yesterday’s detention by NABU of the head of the SFS Roman Nasirov," Marushevska said.

Recall, 2 March, NABU detectives searched the office of the State Fiscal Service and handed a notice of suspicion to the head of the SFS Roman Nasirov. After the notice was handed over, which took place at the departmental hospital Feofaniya, SFS head Nasirov was hospitalized with a heart attack.

As Nazar Kholodnytskyi, head of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office, reported, according to the investigation, Nasirov caused losses to the budget of 2 billion hryvnias.

Marushevska herself said as early as 14 November 2016 that she was resigning because "all instruments for reform at the regional level have been exhausted."

Later Nasirov said that the fiscal service initiated an investigation against Marushevska in connection with alleged underpricing of goods and other violations under her leadership.

In turn, Marushevska told Hromadske on air that she had not received any official corruption charges from the SFS.
