New NBU head Shevchenko promised the IMF to fulfill all undertaken obligations

The new head of the National Bank of Ukraine, Kyrylo Shevchenko, considers the full and successful implementation of the cooperation program with the IMF to be his priority task.

This was reported by the press service of the National Bank.

Thus, on 21 July Shevchenko held his first meeting with IMF representatives. At it he stated that the NBU will fully and on time fulfill all obligations it took on under the memorandum with the International Monetary Fund. In turn, IMF representatives noted that Ukraine owes much of the macroeconomic stabilization of the past five years to the central bank’s prudent policy.

The meeting was attended by the head of the IMF mission to Ukraine Ivanna Vladkova-Gollar, the IMF’s resident representative in Ukraine Josta Ljungman, IMF Deputy Executive Director Vladyslav Rashkovan, as well as Shevchenko and his deputies.

In addition, Shevchenko, together with NBU First Deputy Kateryna Rozhkova and deputies Dmytro Sologub and Oleh Churiy, met with representatives of Ukrainian and international investment institutions.
