Night Visitors of Poroshenko — from Yanukovych's Bodyguard's Notebook

Journalist Serhiy Andrushko produced an excellent report for the program "Skhemy" about the nighttime visitors to the Presidential Administration.

President Poroshenko usually works until 1-2 at night, so the entire PA leadership is also on site, and interesting personalities wander the dark street. Hennadiy Kernes, Serhiy Tyhypko, Russian Ambassador Zurabov, and others were spotted on Bankova Street. But my colleagues didn’t recognize one of the guests. I’ll say — it was Borys Kaufman, an Odesa businessman to whom Yanukovych handed the carving up of the airports Boryspil, Simferopol, and Odesa. Last year Kaufman bought the magazine "Focus" from the current head of the Presidential Administration, Borys Lozhkin. Kaufman also, without a tender, took into his own hands state property of the State Affairs Administration — the "President Hotel."

In Yanukovych’s bodyguard’s notebook there is a mention that Kaufman requested a meeting with Yanukovych in the winter of 2014: "Kaufman asks to come for a report and to congratulate on the New Year," the bodyguard wrote.

But if you watch the piece even more closely, you can see that Kaufman did not come to Bankova alone at night, but with Hryhoriy Hurtov, the former head of the bankrupt airline "Aerosvit."

Interesting — what were such people doing at night in Poroshenko’s administration? Probably bringing in the plan to reform the country.
