Every fourth family of “Servants of the People” bought valuable property in the last two years

The Committee of Voters of Ukraine found that over the past two years every fourth family of deputies from the “Servant of the People” faction declared the purchase of valuable property.

This was reported by the CVU press service on its Facebook page, according to UNN.

Among the purchases, the report says, were cars, apartments, and land plots bought by family members of 58 deputies of the faction. The total value of the property reached, as indicated, more than 60 million UAH.

“Overall, since August 2019, family members of the Servant of the People deputies purchased 38 cars. In particular, new cars were declared by the wives of people's deputies Yuriy Koryavchenkov (2 million UAH), Bohdan Yaremenko (Volvo, 1 million), Kostyantyn Kasay (BMW, 3,7 million), Pavlo Yakymenko (BMW, 2,9 million), Yuriy Aristov (PORSCHE, 2,3 million), Andriy Herus (1,4 million UAH), Oleksandr Zavitnevych (1,5 million), Oleksiy Leonov (Mercedes-Benz, 1,5 million), Oleksandr Litvinov (Toyota, 1,2 million), Oleksandr Saliiuchuk (Mercedes-Benz, 1,2 million), Orest Salamakha (BMW, 849 thousand), Maksym Zuiev (540 thousand),” the report says.

It also notes that new cars were declared by family members of people's deputies Andriy Boblyakh, Iryna Vereshchuk, Volodymyr Hevko, Maksym Huzenko, and Andriy Klochok. It is worth noting that thirteen people's deputies indicated in their declarations that they use vehicles owned by their relatives, mostly their wives.

In addition to cars, the Servant of the People deputies, the report says, listed 25 land plots and 12 apartments purchased by members of their families. “In particular, people's deputy Roman Mulyk declared a cottage for family vacations in the resort village of Polyanytsia worth 1,1 million, which is owned by his daughter (date of acquisition: 19.10.2020). Halyna Tretiakova declared a land plot worth 490 thousand UAH, which is owned by her husband (date of acquisition: 10.03.2020). Kostyantyn Kasay declared that his wife acquired ownership in 2020 of an apartment, a residential house, and a land plot. Oleksiy Ustenko declared that in 2020 his wife purchased an apartment in Kyiv worth 5 million UAH,” the statement said.

“The declaration of expensive purchases by family members may be part of a scheme to legalize the assets of people's deputies. That is why it is common practice to travel in cars and live in housing owned by family members,” said CVU head Oleksiy Koshel.

By the way, earlier the CVU already noted a sharp increase in the purchasing power of the Servant of the People faction's deputies. It is noted, in particular, that during 2020 year “97 people's deputies of the faction declared the acquisition of valuable property.” In total, as indicated, 20 apartments, 67 land plots, and 74 cars were purchased.
