"Servant of the People" Marchenko continues to run a business while serving in Parliament

As follows from the correspondence, the people's deputy understands the illegality of her actions.

People's Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada from "Servant of the People" Lyudmyla Marchenko may be combining her parliamentary duties with commercial activity.

The corresponding video of the correspondence was filmed and handed over to TK Media by journalist Oleksiy Lipovetskyi. It records the deputy paying utility bills supplied to the Ternopil restaurant Bohrach, as well as correspondence with one of its managers. The video was shot on Wednesday, 5 February.

The reporter also managed to capture a list of Marchenko's chats. Among them are the restaurant's work chats — "Bohrach — CASH" and "Indicators — Bohrach." From Marchenko's presence in these chats, one can conclude that the people's deputy takes part in managing the establishment.

The video records Marchenko's correspondence with one of the restaurant managers, Nastia K., in which the deputy discusses commercial matters related to the restaurant's operations.

It is worth noting that in the correspondence with Marchenko, Nastia K. sent her photographs of utility bills provided to the Bohrach restaurant. This may indicate that Marchenko is directly involved in the restaurant's commercial activity and may be receiving profit from it.

Judging by the video, Marchenko made a payment on Bohrach's utility bills in the amount of 10 thousand 230 UAH.

By "FOP Marchenko Ivan" they most likely mean Lyudmyla's husband — Ivan Oleksandrovych Marchenko. He is registered as an individual entrepreneur at Volodymyr Velykyi Street 9 in Ternopil. The Bohrach restaurant is located at the same address.

As follows from OpenDataBot, Lyudmyla Marchenko previously had an FOP registered with the activity type "restaurant service activities." 5 August, after being elected a people's deputy, the deputy closed the FOP.

Also, in one of the aforementioned chats, Marchenko gives instructions to restaurant staff: "Alenka, Sveta and everyone… don't turn on the blower on the front doors for now."

At the same time, Marchenko's declaration states that for the year 2018 she received 101 720 UAH of income from entrepreneurial activity.
