The amounts of named scholarships from the Cabinet of Ministers will change as well. For students of higher education institutions they will reach 8000 hryvnias, for college students — 6040 hryvnias, and for trainees at vocational schools — 5000 hryvnias.
Separate amounts are set for young artists. The presidential scholarship will be 10 thousand hryvnias for bachelor’s and master’s students, 7600 hryvnias for college students, and 2500 hryvnias for pupils of art lyceums.
The Petro Yatsyk and Taras Shevchenko scholarships for university students will be 7600 hryvnias, and for college students — 5740 hryvnias. For schoolchildren a payment of 2840 hryvnias is provided, while a separate Taras Shevchenko scholarship will increase to 5440 hryvnias.
The presidential scholarship for victories in school olympiads and competitions of the Minor Academy of Sciences will increase to 5200 hryvnias. The government award for winners of the olympiad in Ukrainian language and literature will be 4720 hryvnias.
An additional 1,2 billion hryvnias were allocated in the budget to finance the increased payments. The new scholarship amounts are to take effect from 1 September.
