Member of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence Serhiy Rakhmanin said in an interview that there will be no money in the foreseeable future for the transition to contract service, according to the government resolution adopted when Mykhailo Fedorov was Minister of Defense.

On Radio NV, Rakhmanin noted that the effect of this resolution is "as close to zero as possible," because the percentage of people signing such contracts is "within the margin of error."

"Second. This whole story works only if there is money. There is no money. In the foreseeable future — there won't be. If, God willing or God forbid, even—I don't know—if they start signing it en masse, I have no idea where they will get the money. That's the first question that was asked from the moment this idea even appeared (I repeat, it appeared during Umerov's time): 'Where will you get the money?' Fedorov was asked this question 10 maybe many times. There is no money for this. And if, God willing, contracts start being signed, and God forbid, it becomes necessary to look for money, where to take it from? I don't know," the deputy emphasized.

He concluded that currently there is neither a mobilization reform nor money for it.
