“Servant of the People,” brother of the star of the League of Laughter suspected of lying by almost 4 million UAH

Anticorruption bodies reported suspicion of Member of Parliament from “Servant of the People” Volodymyr Hevko.

14 December National Anti-Corruption Bureau and Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office notified the deputy of suspicion for providing false information in the e-declaration for 2020 year. This was reported by “Ukrainska Pravda.”

“According to a source from UP, it concerns Volodymyr Hevko (faction “Servant of the People”),” reads the media.

The investigation established that the deputy did not include in the declaration information about a person authorized to perform state or local government functions for 2020 year, about a lease of housing in central Kyiv valued at more than 3,7 million UAH.

Also, almost 10 thousand hryvnias were used to understate the amount of funds placed on deposits; incorrectly reflected were also the information about interest earned on these deposits, reporters say.

In total, the data in the e-declaration for 2020 year about the deputy differs from reliable data by more than 3,75 million UAH, anti-corruption officials note.

Volodymyr Hevko was elected to the Verkhovna Rada from the “Servant of the People” party in the Ternopil region. He is the deputy head of the Budget Committee.

Earlier he worked as an associate professor of the management department in the production sector of Ivan Puluj National Technical University in Ternopil. He is the brother of the captain of the VIP team in the League of Laughter, Viktor Hevko. 558 thousand UAH bribe, the indictment was tossed out of a Toyota SUV window.
