On the front line, a military man from Kyiv region, Dmytro Maltsev, died: he fought from the first days of the full-scale war

On the front, while carrying out a combat mission, a military man from Kyivska oblast, Dmytro Maltsev, died. The defender of Ukraine leaves behind a 11-year-old son and his mother.

This was reported by the press service of the Fastiv City Council. Eternal memory and glory to the Hero.

"The Fastiv community is in mourning. A resident of Borova, Dmytro Maltsev, died in Donetsk region", the message reads.

The defender of Ukraine was born 23 in September 1985 of the year. In 2000 year he finished Specialized School No. 290 in Kyiv, in 2003 year – the Higher Vocational School "Construction and Design". From 2003 to 2004 year he served in the army. In 2011 year he graduated from the Financial and Economic Institute. He worked as a senior inspector at one of Kyiv’s municipal enterprises.

From 24 February 2022 year he became a volunteer to the Kyiv city territorial defense, and from the end of March 2022 year – to the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He received the Medal 'For Courage' and the Medal for Participant in Hostilities. From 25 September he arrived to Odesa to undergo airborne reconnaissance training. After completing training he was given the rank of junior lieutenant and was sent to Donetsk region.

"23 December 2023 year, during a combat mission, Dmytro Maltsev died from injuries sustained. Dmytro leaves behind a 11-year-old son Maksym and his mother Albina Dmytrivna. We share the family’s grief. We will not forgive the enemy for any lost soul," the press service added.
