Judge of Darnytskyi District Court of Kyiv Rudiuk found fit to transfer to Kyiv Court of Appeal

Judge of Darnytskyi District Court of Kyiv Olena Rudiuk passed an interview at the High Qualification Commission of Judges and was recognized as capable of administering justice. This opens the possibility for her to apply for a position at the Kyiv Court of Appeal.

This is stated in the notice regarding the judge’s interview at the High Qualification Commission of Judges.

The decision was adopted by panel No.2 of the HQCJ composed of Liudmyla Volkova, Roman Kydysiuk, and Ruslan Sydorovych. Based on the interview, the panel concluded that Rudiuk can administer justice and may seek promotion.

At the same time, a number of questions arose for the judge, some of which, according to the provided information, were not taken into account during the interview or were deemed immaterial.

In particular, it concerned the parents of the judge’s husband, who, after 2014 year, repeatedly traveled to Russia.

Some questions related to the family’s property status.

In 2022 year Olena Rudiuk’s husband purchased a plot of land in Sofiivska Borshchahivka near Kyiv for 2,12 million UAH. In the same year he purchased a Mitsubishi Outlander for nearly 1 million UAH.

According to the declaration, the funds for these purchases were gifted to the husband by his mother. In particular, he reported receiving a gift in the amount of $100 thousand, which at that time amounted to 3,65 million UAH.

At the same time, there are no documents confirming the transfer of these funds.

Questions also arose as to whether the judge’s husband’s parents had the financial capacity to provide such a sum. According to the provided information, the answer to the question about confirming their ability to make such a gift did not prevent the judge from passing the interview during her evaluation.
