The Rada issued a statement about working during ongoing air raid alerts in Kyiv

The Office of the Verkhovna Rada is taking measures to ensure uninterrupted work in the parliament building during alerts.

"In connection with the ongoing air raid alerts, the Office of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine is taking all necessary measures to ensure the uninterrupted operation of the Parliament in the Verkhovna Rada building (Mykhaila Hrushevskoho Street, 5)," the statement says. Reminder: on 19 August, Member of Parliament Mykyta Poturayev said on Radio NV that the ongoing air raid alerts in Kyiv make it difficult for the parliament to function fully. According to him, two scenarios for further action are being discussed. Under one of them, the Verkhovna Rada plans a temporary relocation to a safer facility. Note that later Rada Chairman Ruslan Stefanchuk said the parliament will continue to work in the Verkhovna Rada building and does not plan to move to a safer location. According to him, MPs will not "distance themselves from society" and "seek special conditions for themselves." Stefanchuk noted that the parliament's mode of operation will be determined by the Rada itself, "in accordance with the needs of the state and security assessments by the authorized services."

RBC-Ukraine also wrote that Prime Minister Serhiy Koretsky said the Cabinet is preparing changes for operating during prolonged air raid alerts. He added that approaches to the curfew will be reviewed.
