IT classroom in an underground school: Betking Foundation donated equipment to a lyceum in Kharkiv

The Betking Foundation and Pavlo Zhurilo equipped a modern computer lab in the underground school of Kharkiv Lyceum No.24. The learning space was outfitted with PCs and an interactive whiteboard for safe hands-on lessons for students.

What is known about the new computer lab Under full-scale war conditions, underground schools have become an important part of Kharkiv’s educational infrastructure. Designed as protected learning spaces, they allow children to continue offline education in safer conditions, interact with peers, and maintain a familiar educational routine. That is why the charitable Betking Foundation and its founder Pavlo Zhurilo helped equip a modern information technology classroom with computer equipment in the underground school of Kharkiv Lyceum No.24 named after I. N. Pitykov. The new educational space is equipped with computers, an interactive whiteboard, and the necessary equipment for lessons, practical exercises, and the development of students’ digital skills. The new computer lab was created for hands-on learning. Students will be able to master digital tools, work with modern technologies, and gain practical experience. These skills will help students better navigate the digital environment and prepare for further education and professional development. "Innovation begins with opportunities. Our task is to create them for Ukrainian children today. Even during war, students must have access to modern technologies, because practical knowledge and digital skills help them better prepare for the future," said Pavlo Zhurilo, founder of the Betking Foundation. Representatives of the Kharkiv City Council participated in the class opening. They spoke with students, inspected the new learning space, and supported the initiative. For students, the new lab is an opportunity to learn through practice, discover the world of technology, and acquire skills that can form the basis of their future careers.
