"Lawful targets": Putin (did not) answer whether Russia will strike Britain

He only noted that any facilities on the territory of our state, including foreign ones, are lawful targets for the Russians.

After the British agreed to provide Ukraine with secret production technologies for SCALP missiles and began helping Kyiv strike military targets in the enemy's rear, the Russians stepped up threats to hit British facilities in Ukraine and "beyond its borders." Dictator Vladimir Putin, commenting on these threats for the first time, neither confirmed nor ruled out the possibility of Russian strikes on the territory of the Kingdom.

"That's a secret, a military secret," the president of the Russian Federation said.

He added that any facilities on the territory of Ukraine, including those belonging to Britain, would be lawful military targets for the Russians.

Britain has remained one of Ukraine's main partners since the start of the war. London not only regularly provides Kyiv with record packages of weapons and funding, but was also first to open new defensive capabilities to the Armed Forces of Ukraine — from Challenger tanks 2 and Storm Shadow missiles to joint rocket-weapon developments. In response to Britain's actions, the Russians began threatening strikes against targets on its territory. For example, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that London is "adding fuel to the fire" on the issue of the war, and former Deputy Foreign Minister Andrey Fyodorov allowed for "semi-military actions" against the Kingdom and "various political steps."
