Exchange rates 5 September 2026: how much the dollar, euro, and zloty cost

The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) released the official currency rate for Saturday morning, September 5, of the 2026 year. Compared with 4 September, the exchange rate for the dollar, euro, and zloty did not change. This is reported by Glavkom.

The regulator set the official dollar rate at 44,72, euro at 51,93 UAH, and Polish zloty at 12 UAH.

Over the week, the U.S. dollar, euro, and Polish zloty rose in value. At the same time, the British pound and Swiss franc fell in value.

For the record, the National Bank of Ukraine approved a major update of rules for the insurance sector. The regulator revised the process of authorizing insurance intermediaries in the specialized Register, and also adjusted requirements for selling insurance and reinsurance products. The measures are intended to remove bureaucratic obstacles, address practical difficulties, and significantly reduce administrative pressure on business.

By the way, from 4 September 2026 year, the National Bank of Ukraine will put into circulation a new banknote of denomination 2 thousand hryvnias. Danilo Hetmanets, head of the parliamentary committee on finance, tax and customs policy, commented on the possible impact of introducing the new banknote.

As reported, Ukraine's international reserves as of the beginning of August stood at $51,19 billion. In July their total decreased by 0,1% – to about $51,27 billion. At the same time, reserves grew by 19% year over year.
