Exchange rates 6 September 2026: how much the dollar, euro and zloty cost

The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) published the official exchange rates for Sunday morning, September 6, 2026 of the year. Compared with 5 September, the rates for the dollar, euro, and hryvnia did not change. This is reported by “Glavkom.”

The regulator set the official dollar rate at 44,72, euro at 51,93 UAH, and Polish zloty at 12 UAH.

Over the week the US dollar, euro, and Polish zloty rose. At the same time the British pound and Swiss franc fell.

By the way, the National Bank of Ukraine approved a major update of rules for the insurance sector. The regulator revised the procedure for authorizing insurance intermediaries in the Specialized Registry, and also adjusted requirements for selling insurance and reinsurance products. The changes are intended to remove bureaucratic obstacles, address practical difficulties, and significantly reduce administrative pressure on business.

Incidentally, from September 4 to 2026, the National Bank of Ukraine will put a new banknote with a denomination of 2 hryvnias into circulation. Danilo Hetmanets, head of the parliamentary committee on finance, tax, and customs policy, commented on the possible impact of introducing the new banknote.

As reported, Ukraine's international reserves as of the beginning of August stood at $51,19 billion. In July their volume fell by 0,1% — from about $51,27 billion. At the same time, reserves grew by 19% year over year.
