"I can't": Myachuch angrily addressed the fans

Jaroslava Myachuch (Yaroslava Mahuchikh) finished second in the Diamond League final, trailing gold to Australian Eleonora Patterson. After the competition, the athlete spoke through journalists to Ukrainians who follow her performances.

Mahuchikh responded to the criticism that fans allow themselves after several tournaments in a row where Yaroslava did not jump the highest. She called on fans to behave differently in an interview with Suspilne.

Mahuchikh's appeal to Ukrainians

The world record holder could not miss the wave of negativity directed at her by fans who demand only victories from Mahuchikh, while this season she has fallen short to both Australian opponents and colleagues from the Ukrainian team Yulia Levchenko and Iryna Gerashchenko.

Thus, Yaroslava decided to address the fans with a plea to take the athletes' capabilities more lightly.

I really want to address the spectators: when you watch our competitions, please, if you are supporting us, support us to the end, and not only when we fail. Write negative comments. This is sport, and we are tense. I can't constantly jump very high and show perfect results,

— Mahuchikh complained.

At the same time, Yaroslava promised to do everything in her power to perform as well as possible at the main season event—the World Championships, which will start in Budapest in just a few days.

What results did Mahuchikh show at the latest competitions

After winning the European Championship, Yaroslava rose to the top of the podium one more time, at a Diamond League stage in Silesia.

After this, in Zurich she unexpectedly found herself outside the top three, and later there were two second places—in Hallbronn on the Continental Tour's Silver Series stage and in the Diamond League final in Brussels.

The best result of the season for Mahuchikh remains 2 meters 3 centimeters, demonstrated in the first start of the year at the Demyanuk Memorial in Lviv.
