Sky-high payments of the Chernihiv prosecutor: 45-year-old Andriy Kotyash declared over 800 thousand hryvnias of pension per year

Against the background of Chernihiv Regional Deputy Prosecutor Andriy Kotyash, Prosecutor Kropyva of the GPU Office, who is on trial for corruption, looks like a poor relation. At least in terms of pension provision, Kropyva lags behind Kotyash by two and a half times.

If Kropyva declared 283,3 thousand hryvnias of pension for 2025 year, then in his declaration for 2024 year 45-year-old Andriy Ivanovych Kotyash declared over 976 thousand hryvnias of salary and over 803 thousand hryvnias of pension.

Think about it! 67 thousand hryvnias per month from the Pension Fund of Ukraine is received by Deputy Deineka.

The “pensioner” certainly does not get around in a wheelchair: Andriy Kotyash owns a luxury BMW X5 from 2022. The prosecutor bought the SUV in 2024 for 1 million 820 thousand hryvnias.

Let’s return to the prosecutor’s pension, the monthly payment the prosecutor receives from the Valky Joint Department of the Pension Fund of Ukraine in Kharkiv region. It appeared in Andriy Kotyash’s declaration for 2022 year. The amount of income was 803 thousand 235 hryvnias.

Why Kharkiv region? This fact seems strange, since in 2021 year Andriy Kotyash worked in the prosecutor’s offices of Poltava region and Kyiv, and he received his disability in Kharkiv region. Or is it not a disability, because while fleeing from our journalist in the Chernihiv Court of Appeal, Kotyash’s boss Serhiy Deineka denied the fact of his subordinate’s disability? If so, why does the Pension Fund pay Andriy Kotyash almost 67 thousand hryvnias in monthly accruals?

By the way, Kotyash is named as the curator blocking the issuance of apartments to servicemen in Pryluky. The essence there is quite simple — an investor who completed the building transfers half of the housing stock to the city council for veterans’ apartments, and sells the other half according to the agreement. Kotyash wants to take everything, and let the community, which doesn’t have those millions, pay with millions. Big appetites, indeed!
