Free parking for drivers with disabilities added to the Kyiv Digital app

The Kyiv Digital app has launched the ability to register for free hourly parking on municipal lots for drivers who hold a pension certificate issued due to a disability. The benefit applies to people with disabilities in groups I, II, and III and to people disabled as a result of the war.

KV learned this from a Kyiv City State Administration (Kyiv City State Administration) announcement.

“Parking for elderly pensioners remains paid under the general conditions. Important: free parking applies only to designated hourly municipal parking lots. The benefit does not extend to specially equipped sites — in particular parking garages or lots where a separate payment procedure applies,” the Kyiv City State Administration emphasized.

As Deputy Head of the Kyiv City State Administration for the exercise of self-government powers Kostiantyn Usov noted, the new functionality is part of the continued development of digital parking services in the capital.

To use the rate 0 UAH/hour, go to your profile in the Kyiv Digital app, open the “Social status” section, and confirm your pension status. After that, the “Hourly parking” service will show a notification about the availability of free parking with the certificate. For each parking session you must start a free session in the app. This is necessary so an inspector can see the session in the database and not issue a fine.
