Donetsk People’s Republic leader Pushilin approved the medal "For the Liberation of Kostiantynivka"

The leader of the DNR, Pushilin, approved the medal “For the Liberation of Kostyantynivka.”

The leader of the DNR, Denis Pushilin, approved a medal titled “For the Liberation of Kostyantynivka.” The medal description states that on its obverse side is depicted a red five-pointed star of the Moscow Kremlin.

As noted in the medal description, the star was manufactured in 1937 year at the Kostyantynivka plant “Avtosteklo.” On the reverse side of the medal there is a date which the occupying authorities call the day of the “liberation” of the city — 3 of July 2026 year.

At the same time as of 11 September 2026 year there is no full occupation of Kostyantynivka. In the Kostyantynivka direction, heavy urban fighting continues. Because of this, the advance of Russian troops has slowed significantly, and they themselves are suffering substantial losses.

Even as Russian forces push deeper into the city, Ukrainian command maintains localized control over parts of the city’s districts.

Pushilin, speaking about the “liberation” of Kostyantynivka, asserts that Russian troops “are returning lands where Russians live, work, and raise children.”

Meanwhile in the Kostyantynivka community, where before the full-scale war began there lived 70–80 thousand people, by the end of August — beginning of September 2026 year there were about 800–830 people remaining.
