"Muza" and "Chancellor" remain in pretrial detention: bail for Kropyva and Ivakhnenko still not paid

The subjects of the "Carthage" investigation into the alleged protection of call centers, Serhiy Kropyva and Yelyzaveta Ivakhnenko, have not been released from custody. The court-ordered bail amounts for them still have not been paid.

This was reported by the press service of the High Anti-Corruption Court in a comment to MEZHA.

Office of the Prosecutor General official Serhiy Kropyva, who is referred to in the case materials as "Chancellor," and Yelyzaveta Ivakhnenko, known as "Muza," remain in pretrial detention.

The HACC also noted that there is no information about any partial payment of the bail.

"Regarding a partial (payment), I cannot report such information. For us it is categorical: either paid or not paid," the court explained.

6 September the HACC placed Kropyva in custody with the alternative of posting bail in the amount of 120 million UAH. Ivakhnenko was also kept in pretrial detention until 2 November, with the option to post 20 million UAH bail.

According to the investigation, Ivakhnenko was aware of the illegal origin of the funds and participated in legalizing 21,6 million UAH. With that money, the case materials say, a nonresidential premises of 153 sq. m and an apartment in Odesa of 64,5 sq. m were purchased.

In addition, a sole proprietorship was opened in Ivakhnenko's mother's name, through which, according to the investigation, money was "washed". The investigation also alleges that "Muza" helped Kropyva purchase a Mercedes car.
