In the Karfagen case, prosecutor Kropyva and his “Muse” Ivakhnenko will remain in custody, as the bail of 140 million hryvnias was not paid

The defendants in the Karfagen investigation into the alleged protection of call centers, Serhiy Kropyva and Yelyzaveta Ivakhnenko, have not yet been released from custody. The court-imposed bail for them has not been paid.

This was reported by the press service of the High Anti-Corruption Court in a comment to MEZH.I.

Official of the Office of the Prosecutor General Serhiy Kropyva, referred to in case materials as the “Chancellor,” and Yelyzaveta Ivakhnenko, known as the “Muse,” continue to remain in custody.

VAKS also noted that there is no information about partial bail.

“Regarding partial (bail) I cannot provide such information. We have a category: either paid or not paid,” the court explained.

6 In September, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) took Kropyva into custody with the alternative of paying bail in the amount of 120 million UAH. Ivakhnenko was also kept in custody until 2 November, with the possibility of paying bail in the amount of 20 million UAH.

According to the investigation, Ivakhnenko was aware of the illicit origin of the funds and participated in the legalization of 21,6 million UAH. For these funds, as stated in case materials, they purchased a non-residential premises of 153 square meters and an apartment in Odesa of 64,5 square meters.

In addition, Ivakhnenko’s mother was registered as an individual entrepreneur (FOP), through which, according to the investigation, money was laundered. The investigation also claims that the “Muse” helped Kropyva buy a Mercedes car.
