A New Multi-Sport Court Opened in the Tarashcha Community (photos)

In Tarashchanska hromada, a new multisport court was opened and a set of specialized adaptive-sport equipment and sports and rehabilitation equipment for veterans was transferred.

This was reported to KV by acting head of the Kyiv Oblast Council, Yaroslav Dobryansky.

The new sports space was opened together with Tarashchanske city mayor Mykhailo Kryvoshcheyev and the head of the Kyiv Oblast Military and Youth Sports Department, Andriy Mykhalchuk.

As Yaroslav Dobryansky noted, cooperation with socially responsible business allows further development of the community’s sports infrastructure even during wartime.

“When defense and people’s safety remain the state's top priorities, we still cannot delay the development of sport, support for youth, rehabilitation of veterans, and creation of normal living conditions in communities. It is precisely partnership with responsible business that makes it possible to implement such projects today and gradually scale them across Kyiv region,” emphasized Yaroslav Dobryansky.

During the opening, pupils of the sports school, students, and community residents trained on the new site.

In addition to the new multisport space, Tarashchanske hromada received a set of specialized sports equipment for adaptive sports and physical culture and sports rehabilitation for veterans.

The opportunity to supply communities with such equipment is provided by the regional program “Sporty Kyiv region” for 2026–2027 years. The Kyiv Oblast Council deputy corps supported the program and provided funds in the regional budget for the purchase of relevant sets for communities in the region.

Within the program for 19 territorial communities of Kyiv region, 20 sets of specialized simulators and sports equipment were purchased. The cost of one set is 500 thousand hryvnias, the total cost is 10 million hryvnias.

Each set includes 43 names of equipment and sports gear, including multifunctional simulators, a treadmill, a stationary bike, benches, dumbbells, barbells, resistance bands, and other equipment for strength and functional training.

During the event, there was also discussion with community veterans about their needs, opportunities to use the new equipment for rehabilitation, and further development of veteran sports at the local level.

Representatives of the Veterans Corps of Bila Tserkva District and specialists in veteran support and demobilized persons from the Tarashchanske City Council’s Center for Social Services attended the event.

This is the second of seven multisport courts planned to be opened in Kyiv region communities as part of the partnership effort.

The court was installed thanks to InterAthletika, which donated it to the community free of charge. Accordingly, its installation did not require additional local budget expenditures. In total, the company has donated seven such multisport courts to Kyiv region communities free of charge.
