In Kyiv, by the end of the year another 50 loudspeakers will be updated

About 70% of the capital's territory today receives differentiated signals about air-raid announcements: the risk of drone attack (yellow danger level) and also rocket threat (red danger level). By the end of the year, within the modernization of the alert system, another 50 loudspeakers will be updated for more reliable, clear, and detailed informing of residents.

According to what became known to KV, this is stated in the Kyiv City State Administration message.

It is noted that modernization of alert elements in Kyiv began several years ago. It is being carried out in such a way as not to affect the effectiveness and technical correctness of the current system.

“Approximately 70% of the city is covered by differentiated messages — audible signal and voice information about the level of danger. By the end of the year, 50 updated sirens will be launched in the city, and next year the entire Kyiv will be on a differentiated signal. In particular, this also concerns air-raid alerts, since the Government's decision introduced yellow and red danger levels, taking into account the current situation,” the message says.

It is reminded that in accordance with government decisions, in conditions of worsening security conditions, the Kyiv City Defense Council has adopted certain changes to the capital's life.

“Regarding the operation of shopping malls and supermarkets, they have the opportunity to operate under the yellow danger level. However, supermarkets must have so-called safety spaces. These are certain premises that will serve as shelters for visitors or personnel. Those who do not currently have such premises must organize them within 3 months. The city, within its powers, will assist and help carry out these tasks,” the message says.
