Russians Attacked Zaluzhny's Hometown, There Are Casualties

Russians 12 in September attacked Zhytomyr region. During the night, a facility with foreign investment was hit. In the morning, a gas station in Zvyahel and two gas stations in Korosten were struck. This is reported by Hlavkom with reference to Vitaliy Bunichenko, head of the Zhytomyr regional military administration.

Also during the day, a grocery store in Zvyahel was hit; two people were killed.

According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, the enemy continued shelling the region all day. As a result of the enemy attack in the Korosten and Zvyahel districts, fires broke out at two gas stations and in a store. Two passenger cars and dry vegetation also burned.

Despite the difficult security situation and the threat of renewed shelling, rescuers extinguished all fires.

As known, Zvyahel is the native city of the former commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valeriy Zaluzhny, who now works as ambassador to the United Kingdom.

Recall that Russian forces during the day 5 September attacked Zhytomyr with attack drones. After one of the strikes in the city, a large fire broke out, and dense smoke could be seen from various districts.
