"Everyone will see": Budanov teased with an answer about stopping the war before winter

Ukraine will find a solution to end the war. A visit by Trump envoys to Kyiv may be linked to the Congressional elections, and that’s normal.

Such statements were made by the Head of the President's Office, Kyrylo Budanov, in an exclusive comment to journalist from News.LIVE during the annual YES Kyiv meeting.

Will there be a ceasefire before winter?

The journalist asked Budanov whether he believes that before winter the conflicting sides could reach an agreement to stop the war on the current front line.

In response, the Head of the Office said that he believes they can find a solution that will help stop the war. "When will this happen? Everyone will see," he noted.

Commenting on the assumption that American negotiators could come to Ukraine, in particular to bolster the Republicans' position ahead of the Congressional elections, Budanov explained that each side has its own interests. According to him, if the United States also resolves its issues during negotiations, there is nothing problematic about that.

As a reminder, Budanov previously named the most realistic scenario for ending the war. In his view, it is an end to hostilities on the actual front line that will exist at the time of the agreements.

Moreover, the general stated that a ceasefire is unlikely before spring 2027.

Note that Russia currently rejects the idea of stopping hostilities on the current front line. It continues to demand the withdrawal of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from four partially occupied Ukrainian territories.

In addition, Moscow refuses to halt hostilities during negotiations.
