Kushch: Russia Still Has Economic Resources to Continue the War

Economist and financial analyst Oleksiy Kush stated that Russia still has resources to continue the war. According to him, currently, there is no critical situation visible in the main economic indicators.

“In general, it is possible to predict the amount of resources left for waging war when certain critical indicators flare up. Critical indicators are a budget deficit, the level of government debt, inflation, unemployment, and, practically, the level of domestic reserves. This set,” Kush noted.

In addition, there is discussion of the dynamics of economic development, including industrial production.

According to the economist, there is no “red light” yet on these indicators. At present, there is no evidence of a critical situation that would indicate the exhaustion of the Russian Federation’s resources for waging war.

“And if we don’t see a red light, all these forecasts—two to three years—are, you know, like fortune-telling over coffee grounds,” he added.

As News.LIVE reported, citing Oleksiy Kush, a Third World War could potentially cover a large geopolitical space spanning from the South Caucasus and the Middle East to Central and South Asia.

Kush also stated that Ukraine continues to lose a portion of its economic potential every month, which could simultaneously weaken its position at future negotiations. According to him, the most favorable conditions for Ukraine to end the war emerged as early as spring 2022 year.
