Kush: Russia still has economic resources to continue the war

Economist and financial analyst Oleksii Kush stated that Russia still has resources to continue the war. According to him, currently there is no critical situation visible in the main economic indicators.

Russia still has resources for the war

“In general, you can forecast the amount of resources left for conducting the war when certain critical indicators flare up. Critical indicators are a deficit of the state budget, the level of state debt, inflation, the unemployment rate, and, in fact, the level of internal reserves. That set,” Kush noted.

In addition, it concerns the dynamics of economic development, including industrial production.

According to the economist, there is no “red light” yet for these indicators. Currently there is no critical situation indicating depletion of Russia’s resources for waging war.

“And if we don’t see a red light, then all these forecasts—two or three years—are, you know, like reading tea leaves,” he added.

As News.LIVE wrote with reference to Oleksii Kush, World War III could potentially cover a large geopolitical space spanning from the South Caucasus and the Middle East to Central and Southern Asia.

Also Kush stated that Ukraine continues to lose part of its economic potential every month, which at the same time could weaken its positions in future negotiations. According to him, the most favorable conditions for Ukraine to end the war formed back in spring 2022 year.
