Sibiga urged Europe to implement a full embargo on Russian goods

The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Andriy Sibiga, met in Kyiv with his Polish counterpart, Radosław Sikorski. The diplomat made a number of important statements.

It was said: “Given the situation in the Black Sea, we know that Russia is trying to use the ports of Baltic countries to export its grain. It is very important to remain vigilant here and not allow this.” It is emphasized: “It is fair to raise the issue of a full embargo on Russian products on the European market. Russia must pay for its aggressive actions.” According to him, it is necessary to limit Russian presence in Europe in various spheres and manifestations. It is added: “We spoke about the time to ban visa issuance for all military personnel and their family members who participate or participated in Russia’s aggression against Ukraine. Signing a contract for Russian military personnel must automatically mean that they are signing a ban on entering European countries.”

The official noted that our country is negotiating so that this also covers Canada, the United States, Japan, and the United Kingdom. It states: “Russian strikes are already being carried out directly near the Ukrainian-Polish border. Today there was an attack on the Yagodyn-Dorohusk crossing point. Putin’s terror is knocking on the doors of the EU and NATO.” The minister called on the international community to strengthen sanctions against Russia and to intensify support for Ukraine: “We must deprive Russians of the ability to produce ballistic missiles and drones, and also restrict access to military technologies.” Earlier, the Prime Minister of Latvia called for providing money to Ukraine from frozen Russian assets.
