House, Apartments, and a New Prado: NACP will check the lifestyle of judge Vadym Bosyi

The National Agency on Corruption Prevention will check the lifestyle of Kyiv Commercial Court head Vadym Bosyi after an investigation by Bihus.Info and StopKor. Journalists drew attention to the real estate and car that, according to them, the judge and his family use, although the corresponding assets are not reflected in his declaration.

Head of Kyiv Commercial Court Vadym Bosyi found himself in the center of attention of the NACP after journalistic investigations into his family’s property. The agency began verifying whether the judge’s declared income corresponds to his actual lifestyle.

One of the objects of attention was a private house in Lisnyky, near Kyiv. According to journalists, it is registered to Bosyi’s daughter, but the judge actually lives there himself. According to the family, the daughter bought the land and the house was built later. At the same time, journalists claim that when the land was purchased, the house on the plot already existed.

Journalists also drew attention to an apartment of about 100 square meters in Pechersk, which, according to them, Bosyi’s daughter was gifted by her grandmother.

Another object is an apartment in the capital’s Jack House residential complex. The ownership of it is registered to the judge’s wife. Earlier, questions about this property had already been the subject of journalistic investigations.

Separately in the investigation, there is a Toyota Land Cruiser Prado 2025 years in a premium configuration. The car is registered to Bosyi’s mother, but, according to journalists, it is used by the head of Kyiv Commercial Court himself.

After these data were made public, Bihus.Info lawyers turned to the NACP. Now the agency should check the judge’s lifestyle and compare it with the information stated in the declarations.

At the same time, questions about Vadym Bosyi’s property status had arisen earlier.

What previous investigations showed

As early as 2023 year, StopKor journalists investigated property registered to the judge’s relatives. Then attention was drawn to the real estate of his ex-wife Kateryna.

According to public registries, in 2019 year she became the owner of a three-room apartment in the Jack House residential complex in the center of Kyiv. The value of a similar property was estimated at approximately $400 thousand. Also behind her were registered two parking spaces.

Journalists also noted that after the official divorce, Bosyi’s declarations did not contain information about using his ex-wife’s property. At the same time, media reported joint use of cars and other circumstances that raised questions about the actual property relationships of the couple.

An separate block of previous investigations concerned Vadym Bosyi’s parents. According to journalists, the judge used cars registered to his father. Among them were Lexus NX 300 2014 year and Toyota Land Cruiser Prado 300.

In addition, previous declarations indicated substantial gifts from his father. In particular, in 2014 year there were 500 thousand hryvnias, in 2015-th — about 1 million UAH, and in 2016 year — another 1 million UAH.

Journalists also reported about Bosyi’s mother’s apartment in Kyiv and property owned by his parents. According to StopCor, the judge’s mother bought an apartment in the Dnipro district of the capital for $53 thousand, and the father owned two Lexuses totaling about $130 thousand at the time of purchase.

Bosyi’s declarations also drew attention

In the declaration for 2022 year, Vadym Bosyi’s official income as head of Kyiv Commercial Court exceeded 1,3 million UAH. On average, this was about 112 thousand hryvnias per month.

The document also listed savings — over 2 million UAH and almost $25 thousand.

In the next declaration, journalists noted the appearance of data about Kateryna Bosya, who had previously been named the judge’s ex-wife in publications. The document also listed Vadym Bosyi’s son.

Separately in the declaration was a reference to expensive weapons. It concerns a Cadex CDX-40 Shadow carbine of caliber .375 CheyTac, which, according to StopKor, the judge bought for about half a million hryvnias.

Vehicles and real estate of the family

Previous journalistic materials also drew attention to the discrepancy between property officially registered to the judge and assets of his closest relatives.

StopKor materials claimed that Vadym Bosyi did not declare his own car but used transport registered to his father. Journalists recorded a Toyota Land Cruiser near the Kyiv Administrative Court and linked its use to the judge.

Now a new Toyota Land Cruiser Prado 2025 year has been added to this list, which, according to Bihus.Info, is registered to the judge’s mother.

Thus, questions about Vadym Bosyi’s property status are not new to journalists. Earlier they related to real estate, cars, monetary gifts from his father, and property registered to his ex-wife.

Bosyi and high-profile court cases

Besides property issues, Vadym Bosyi was previously mentioned in materials about so-called “Vovka tapes.” StopKor wrote about his involvement in cases related to Ihor Kolomoyskyi, as well as journalists’ attention to his contacts with former Kyiv Administrative Court head Pavlo Vovk.

In particular, it spoke about the case of Ihor Kolomoyskyi’s lawsuit against the National Bank of Ukraine. According to journalistic investigations, after the events mentioned in the “Vovka tapes,” Bosyi made a decision in favor of the businessman.

These circumstances became another focus of media attention to the judge’s activities.

What NACP will check

NACP will verify whether Vadym Bosyi’s declared lifestyle matches his actual material status. The basis for the check were data about the real estate and cars used by the judge or his family, according to journalists.

Earlier, the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine also addressed the Kyiv Commercial Court head’s declarations. In 2024 year StopKor reported that the VKKS accepted a request to check Bosyi’s declarations and designated a responsible person.
