The hour of questions to the government canceled due to the Cabinet's trip to Bukovel – Pidozra

According to preliminary data, the next communication between government officials and members of parliament was planned for 12 October

Today, 18 September, the Verkhovna Rada canceled the traditional government-question hour. This was reported by Glavkom, citing MP Yaroslav Yeleznyak.

Members of the Cabinet of Ministers went to Bukovel for the Carpathian Eight summit. According to Yeleznyak, MPs were not informed about the cancellation.

Member of Parliament from European Solidarity, Sofia Fedina, also added: “Today I came to the Verkhovna Rada, where the plenary session and the hour for questions to the government were supposed to take place. Instead, the doors of the parliament were closed. MPs were not properly informed about this. We will practically learn that the meeting will not take place from the people who guard the building. The worst thing is that after this, the Verkhovna Rada essentially enters a nearly three-week break without plenary sessions.”

As a reminder, Prime Minister Serhiy Korenetsky and some members of the Cabinet of Ministers 18 September gathered in Bukovel, Ivano-Frankivsk region, where the Carpathian 8 Summit began. The event will run until 20 September and is intended to become the inaugural summit of a new regional initiative, the ‘Carpathian Eight.’

By the way, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky named the main directions of work for the new format of the C8 – the ‘Carpathian Eight,’ the inaugural summit of which is taking place in Ukraine. Among the priorities are security, energy, logistics, cross-border economic cooperation, and support for communities.
