The actress and former girlfriend of Ukrainian boxer Wladimir Klitschko, Hayden Panettiere, wanted her life story to be told exactly the way she saw it. She didn’t want others to tell it for her through their own interpretations or assumptions. This was revealed by her close friend Ruby Rose.

What Panettiere’s friend revealed

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Ruby Rose spoke about her last conversation with Hayden Panettiere and her wish to tell her life story herself. During the talk, Rose was moved to tears and called Panettiere her best friend.

Rose said that Panettiere wanted her story told without others’ interpretations and assumptions—exactly as she herself intended.

“Hayden, all she ever wanted was for her story to be told the way she wanted, on her terms,” Rose noted.

She also added that initially she did not expect they would become close friends. She said she wasn’t sure she wanted to befriend public figures because of previous negative experiences with people in the industry.

“I didn’t think we would become friends. I didn’t know if I wanted friends among celebrities, because I hadn’t had good experiences with this industry,” Rose explained.

How the actresses’ friendship began

Rose said Panettiere approached her at an event. After that they began talking, and their friendship lasted five years.

What is known about Hayden Panettiere’s death

Shortly before her death, Hayden Panettiere released the memoir “This Is Me: Reckoning.” In the book the actress spoke, among other things, about alcohol and drug dependence and difficult relations with her mother.

Panettiere died 16 August at the age of 36. She was found unconscious at her home in Greenville, South Carolina (USA).

An autopsy did not reveal signs of trauma. At the same time, the official cause of death has not been released. A representative for the actress said the investigation is ongoing and the final conclusions will be made after toxicology results.

News.LIVE reported that investigators are checking the version that Panettiere could have died after taking oxycodone with fentanyl. Law enforcement is determining the origin of the tablet and its possible connection to a dealer. Final conclusions will be made after toxicology results.

News.LIVE also reported that investigators want access to the phone of Bryan Gerkerson, who was with Hayden Panettiere on the day of her death. Investigators believe the device could help determine his contacts, location, and the events of the actress’s last hours. Police are also checking testimony about conflicts between Panettiere and Gerkerson and his possible role in the case.
