The head of state said that he had an important conversation with the U.S. president and that a lot of issues were discussed.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy agreed to meet with his American counterpart Donald Trump in New York. As reported by Hlavkom, the head of state said that he had an important conversation with the U.S. president and that a lot of issues were discussed.

“We agreed to meet in New York, and this meeting could change a lot. The diplomatic dynamics are there,” Zelenskyy noted.

The Ukrainian president also thanked Steve Victoff and Jared Kushner for their visit to Kyiv.

“We went over the substantive details well, and the guys saw the situation in Ukraine. The peace track is the number one priority. There are ideas for de-escalation steps and fundamental security issues – energy, food, and protection of people’s lives. We are working together with the American team and are ready to take really serious steps,” the head of state said.

In addition, Zelensky thanked the President of America for signing Lindsay Graham’s law.

Earlier, former Ukrainian ambassador to the United States Olha Stefanishyna spoke about the nicknames Americans negotiators Jared Kushner and Steve Victoff received in Russian political circles. According to her, Russians call Donald Trump’s representatives “Son-in-law” and “Vyotok.”

Victoff and Kushner first arrived in Ukraine 6 September. Their visit occurred the day after talks in Moscow, where Trump’s representatives spent more than three hours talking with Putin.

As a reminder, after talks Victoff stated there was “substantial progress” and reported advances in planning additional trilateral talks. Kushner, in turn, stated that Trump tasked his representatives with formulating a package of proposals to end the war.
