Synyuhubov: in Kharkiv region created a notification system for business

In Kharkiv region, a separate alert system for businesses has been created due to the threat of agile “Shahed” drones. It has already been tested, and the petrol station fully uses it. In the future, the system plans to be extended to other enterprises and public utilities.

This was revealed by Kharkiv Oblast Military Administrator Oleksiy Synyuhubov in a comment to News.LIVE journalist Halyna Ostapovets during the Carpathian Summit.

Why a separate alert system was created for business

According to Oleksiy Synyuhubov, the regional authorities constantly communicate with business representatives to improve responses to air-raid signals. This became especially relevant after Russian troops began using Shahed drones.

The head of the OVA noted that due to Kharkiv region’s proximity to the border, response time may be very short — not only minutes, but seconds. Therefore, businesses, including gas stations, need a more precise alert system than general air-raid signals.

At the same time, air raid alerts in the region can last more than 20 hours per day. Because of this, according to Synyuhubov, if a business relies only on general air-raid signals, it will effectively be unable to operate.

“That is why we developed an alternative alert system, tested it, and the gas station uses it completely,” Synyuhubov noted.

How the new alert system works

Synyuhubov explained that the general signal about a drone detected over Kharkiv is not suitable for business, because in that case it would be necessary to completely halt its operations. Instead, the region more precisely determines the drone’s direction and notifies a specific enterprise.

“We detect the direction of movement more accurately, and then we notify a specific business,” the head of the OVA explained.

According to Synyuhubov, there is already demand for using such a system from other business representatives and municipal enterprises and communities that are also constantly in the risk zone.

Therefore, the system is planned to be extended to other enterprises and public facilities in Kharkiv region.

In Kharkiv region, the network of shelters will be expanded

Another area of Synyuhubov’s work is the expansion of the shelter zone. In particular, the region plans to use modular shelters to ensure the safety of gas station employees and other enterprises, as well as visitors.

Additionally, the region continues coordination with the Armed Forces of Ukraine and air defense forces to improve regional protection effectiveness.

News.LIVE reported that Kharkiv region is subjected to daily Russian strikes on civilian and energy infrastructure, making preparations for a difficult winter already underway. According to Oleksiy Synyuhubov, as a result of new attacks there are civilian injuries. At the same time, Ukrainian forces hold the front line, and Russian troops currently do not have success advancing deeper into the region.

News.LIVE also wrote that in Kharkiv region Russian troops continue attempts to advance in border areas, using infantry groups and infiltration. The greatest activity of the occupiers is recorded in the Vilkhuvatka and Vovchanska communities after intensive shelling of Ukrainian positions. Border guards are repelling attacks, and Russian troops are suffering significant losses and not making substantial progress.
