Ukraine to be hit by sharp cooling: where 21 September temperatures will fall to +15 °C

On Monday, 21 September, a cold atmospheric front will bring rain, gusty winds, and a noticeable drop in temperature to Ukraine. The coldest conditions will be in the western, northern, and parts of the central regions, and in Kyiv the air will warm only to +15 °C.

This was reported by meteorologist Natalka Didenko.

According to the forecaster, the atmospheric front will cross Ukraine during Monday. Moderate rain will fall in many regions, and in some places precipitation may be heavy.

Along with the front, wind direction will change: the southwest wind will give way to west and northwest winds. Winds will strengthen, with strong gusts in some areas. Fluctuations in atmospheric pressure are also expected.

In the west, north, and many central regions temperatures will drop to +15…+18 °C. These regions will be the first to feel the cooling that comes with rain and wind.

In the south and east of the country, as well as in Poltava and Dnipropetrovsk regions, warmer weather will still persist on 21 September. There the forecaster predicts from +20 to +27 °C.

However, already on Tuesday, 22 September, the cooling will spread to those regions as well. Thus, the temperature differences between regions that will be noticeable on Monday will decrease.

In Kyiv, Monday will be cold and rainy. According to Didenko, the air temperature in the capital will be about +15 °C. Heavy rain is possible during the day, and the northwest wind will be gusty.

On Tuesday, 22 September, precipitation in the capital should ease. At the same time, already on Wednesday, 23 September, heavy rains are again possible both in Kyiv and in other regions of Ukraine.

According to Natalka Didenko's forecast, cool weather will last through next week. She expects warming closer to the weekend, starting from 26 September.
