Zelesnky on shelling: Russia struck 10 regions; the attack on Zaporizhzhia was severe and purposeful

At the UN General Assembly, there will be discussion about how, through joint efforts, to come to peace, the president noted.

Last night and through the night, Russians carried out strikes on 10 regions of Ukraine. The shelling of Zaporizhzhia was “severe and purposeful.”

This was stated by President Volodymyr Zelensky.

“We must keep pressuring the aggressor to end this war. Every response and far-reaching sanctions are pressure that really works, and the world feels it. But diplomacy must work in parallel,” he said.

Zelensky added that at the UN General Assembly there will be discussion about how, through joint efforts, to come to peace. “This is the main task that all leaders should be engaged in. Thanks to everyone who helps,” the president said.

In Zaporizhzhia, due to the shelling, residential nine-story buildings, a university building, a shopping center, and a boiler room were damaged. As of now, five people are known to be injured, and some residents have been evacuated.

In Lozova, Kharkiv region, a woman died due to a drone strike. Three more people were injured.
