The defense forces struck a Kasta radar, a UAV control point, and enemy personnel

Ukrainian defense forces 20 September and on the night of 21 September struck a "Kasta" radar of the Russian army in the area of the settlement Pikuzy in Donetsk region. Ukrainian servicemembers continue to methodically take out key enemy facilities, hitting not only radars but also drone control points and concentrations of personnel. In addition to Donetsk region, strikes also hit territory in Russia's Belgorod region. In total, at least three important enemy targets were struck over the day.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported the new strike results. In the area of the settlement Pikuzy in Donetsk region, a "Kasta" radar of the Russian army was struck. This mobile "Kasta-2E2" (39N6) system is designed to detect aircraft, missiles, and drones at low altitudes, its range reaches up to 150 kilometers, and its approximate cost is from 60 million dollars.

Also, in the Dniproenerhiya area of Donetsk region a UAV control point of the occupiers was struck, and in the Stary Khutor area of Russia's Belgorod region a concentration of Russian aggressor personnel was hit. The General Staff emphasized that work against the enemy's key military targets continues.

Depriving the enemy of reconnaissance and air defense means

The strike on the expensive "Kasta" radar weakens the occupiers' ability to detect aircraft, missiles, and drones at low altitudes in advance, complicating the work of Russian air defense in that direction. The loss of the UAV control point in the Dniproenerhiya area limits the enemy's ability to coordinate launches of reconnaissance and strike drones. Striking the concentration of personnel in Belgorod region, in turn, reduces the combat potential of enemy units before they even reach their positions.

Such strikes on radar systems, drone control points, and personnel systematically weaken the Russian army's ability to conduct air attacks and consolidate positions along front-line directions. Ukrainian units continue to hunt specifically for the enemy's expensive equipment, because its loss causes significantly greater damage than strikes on less valuable targets.

Earlier Informator reported that the defense forces struck UAV control points, a training ground, and enemy warehouses in the areas of Luhanske, Pokrovsk, and several settlements in Zaporizhzhia region. The military also damaged an 80P6 radar in Russia's Smolensk region.
